Energy Efficiency Program Evaluator (EM&V)
About The Position
AlphaGov is engaging an experienced Energy Efficiency Program Evaluator for current state work. The evaluator will assess thermal and electric savings from retrofit programs serving the single-family existing buildings market. Engagements are project-based and remote-first, with occasional client travel. Scope, schedule, and fee are confirmed before an engagement begins. With the evaluator’s authorization, AlphaGov may identify them as an expert collaborator or key personnel on relevant proposals. The evaluator may also contribute qualifications and past-performance narrative to proposals when they authorize being named.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of professional experience in energy efficiency program evaluation (EM&V).
- Billing analysis and statistical skills.
- Comfortable working as a 1099 project-based consultant.
Nice To Haves
- Weatherization or heat pump program evaluation experience.
- Vermont or Northeast experience.
- IPMVP experience.
Responsibilities
- Design impact and process evaluations.
- Estimate gross and net savings using billing analysis.
- Review TRM assumptions and program data.
- Write evaluation reports and recommendations.
- Contribute qualifications and past-performance narrative to AlphaGov proposals when authorized to be named.
