Under the direction of the Energy Operations Manager, the Energy Driver 1 operates petroleum and propane trucks with single or tandem axle configuration for delivery and/or pick-up over designated routes, following specified time schedules. The Energy Driver may be cross-trained to drive propane and petroleum trucks. Responsible for the safe operation of an assigned motor vehicle; practicing non-aggressive defensive driving techniques in accordance with standards, regulations and laws pertaining to transportation. Class “AZ” or “DZ” driver’s license required as well as obtaining a “Transportation of Dangerous Goods (TDG) certification” for transporting hazardous products or dangerous goods. The Energy Driver 1 works with little need for guidance or reliance on oral or written instructions.
