Civic Works’ Energy Programs make it easy and affordable for Baltimore City and Central Maryland residents to make home energy improvements. As a “one stop shop” for a suite of home energy efficiency and rooftop solar installation programs, Civic Works helps homeowners and renters of all income levels maximize energy bill savings and improve home comfort and safety. As a social enterprise within Civic Works’ Center for Sustainable Careers (CSC), our Energy Programs also create on-the-job training opportunities and pathways to family-sustaining careers for unemployed and underemployed residents. With key partners and funding in place, Civic Works is expanding the team and its impact across Baltimore and Central Maryland. Civic Works is seeking an additional Energy Auditor to conduct residential energy audits and perform Quick Home Energy Check-up (QHEC) installations while educating clients on energy efficiency opportunities. Civic Works’ green initiatives have been highlighted by Green for All, The Baltimore Sun, The Washington Post, the US Conference of Mayors, and the Maryland Sustainable Growth Commission.
