Requirements

  • Associates Degree OR 2+ years of relevant experience required
  • Automotive experience with 1-2 of the following skillsets: Mechanical, Instrumentation, Product Electronics, Testing/driving, Fabrication, Machining, Hybrid/battery, controls
  • Possess good interpersonal, computer, oral, and written skills
  • Experience executing technical documents
  • Ability to pass a PIV physical and operate powered mobile equipment
  • Ability to legally operate a motor vehicle on a regular basis and successfully complete a Motor Vehicle Report review.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Experience with automotive testing methods
  • 2+ years in Dynamometer Testing / Lab Operations Setup
  • Emission testing equipment or chassis dynamometer experience
  • Experience with AVL, Horiba or Burke Porter
  • Experience communicating effectively with your direct leader, and fellow team members

Responsibilities

  • Work both independently & closely with multi-disciplined teams to understand functional requirements and implement appropriate solution
  • Complete appropriate testing procedures
  • Set-up and perform ICE/EV testing on vehicles.
  • Evaluate results
  • Recommend corrective action
  • Work a 4 day/10-hour schedule (Sunday-Wednesday or Wednesday-Saturday) on 2nd shift
  • Work both independently & closely with multi-disciplined teams to understand functional requirements and implement appropriate solutions
  • Collaborate with other workers across several functions and levels
