About The Position

APTIM is seeking a motivated and experienced Energy Advisor for the IRA HOMES/HEAR program team, based in North Carolina. This role involves direct oversight and leadership of external communications with program-certified contractors, partners, customers, and stakeholders. APTIM manages program operations, including reviewing rebate applications, marketing, outreach, community engagement, and providing engineering/technical resources for this federally funded initiative. The ideal candidate will have experience with energy efficiency programs, a strong background in contractor support and relationship management, and a solid understanding of energy efficiency and weatherization measures. Responsibilities include collaborating with internal teams, program partners, participants, and stakeholders, reviewing contractor rebate applications for compliance, and improving application efficiency. Requirements

Bachelor’s degree from an accredited four-year college or university or equivalent work experience
5+ years of previous sales, customer service, or customer management experience
Demonstrated ability to lead and execute building and maintaining relationships
Strong communication skills, experience with customer engagement and coordination
Excellent problem-solving skills with ability to analyse situations, identify existing or potential problems and recommend solutions
Strong quantitative, analytical, and decision-making capabilities with good attention to detail and the ability to meet deadlines
Able to work effectively and professionally in both a team and autonomously
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, Outlook, SharePoint
Experience with CRM systems and tracking databases
Sound business ethics, including the protection of proprietary and confidential information
Ability to apply detailed knowledge of organizational procedures to make independent decisions and serve as a credible resource for a senior management team
Ability to work with all levels of internal staff, as well as outside clients and vendors
Advanced written and oral communication skills, and presentation skills

Nice To Haves

3+ years’ program/project management experience related to energy program management, implementation, federal or state energy programs, electric or natural gas utility industry
Experience in the energy efficiency field with specific technical knowledge related to the installation of energy efficiency products and services
BPI Building Analyst Technician or Professional certification preferred
Basic understanding of energy efficiency technologies and energy-saving solutions including lighting, HVAC, and other mechanical systems
Experience with Microsoft Excel, PowerBI or other data tracking tools

Responsibilities

Establish relationships with contractors and provide program support
Review rebate applications for compliance with program requirements and provide timely feedback
Work as part of an energy efficiency team ensuring that contractors and customers are able to successfully navigate the program from initial application to post-project review
Improve efficiency and increase rate of compliant applications from assigned contractors
Develop and lead presentations and host office hours focused on program rules and common application challenges
Work with the Associate Director of Implementation, Program Director, Engineer, and other team members, partners, and the client to develop contractor-facing program materials
Facilitate and coordinate trainings and meetings
Organize and maintain a regular call log to track Contractor communications
Maintain, update, and add entries to the system databases accurately
Direct communications with contractors and customers
Identifying and implementing process improvements
Perform other related duties as assigned
Ensure compliance with all APTIM quality and safety policies as well as all OSHA regulations
