About The Position

This opportunity is located within our Ensign-Bickford Aerospace & Defense Company business, a global leader of mission-critical hardware and systems solutions including precision energetics systems and innovative explosive solutions. EBAD seeks a skilled technician for the position of Energetics Technician, reporting to the Production Supervisor. The position is located in Simsbury, CT.

Requirements

• Must have a high school diploma.
• Contribute towards continuous improvement initiatives.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with assembly operations including, but not limited to: torquing, bonding, cutting, filing, bending and laser welding.
• Experience with lab equipment including, but not limited to: precision weight scales, graduated cylinders, and calipers/micrometers.
• Experience with MS Office, specifically Excel.

Responsibilities

• Adherence to all safety standards and work instructions.
• Perform assembly and inspection operations in accordance with detailed manufacturing instructions, product drawings and quality plans.
• Perform coreload analysis on energetic materials.
• Maintain accurate and comprehensive records and documentation.
• Assist engineers in manufacturing process development activities under direction of the engineer’s written instructions.
• Support inventory maintenance of component parts and materials.
• Setup and maintain work cells in accordance with 6S principles.
• Provide feedback to engineers and supervisor for improvements.
