About The Position

CIBC is seeking an experienced Endpoint Security Consultant to join our dynamic security team. This role will be instrumental in designing, implementing, and maintaining secure cloud and endpoint environments. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in cloud security, automation, risk management, and compliance, and will collaborate with stakeholders across the organization to safeguard our digital assets.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field; relevant certifications (e.g., CISSP, CCSP, Microsoft 365 Certifications, AWS/Azure Security) preferred.
  • 6+ years of experience in cloud security, endpoint security, or related roles.
  • Hands-on experience with public cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and associated security tools and services.
  • Strong knowledge of endpoint and cloud security frameworks (MITRE, CCM, etc), automation, and DevSecOps practices.
  • Experience with scripting and automation (e.g., Python, PowerShell, Terraform).
  • In-depth understanding of risk management, compliance, and governance in cloud environments.
  • Familiarity with endpoint protection platforms, EDR, and mobile device management.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
  • You need to be legally eligible to work at the location(s) specified above and, where applicable, must have a valid work or study permit.
  • We may ask you to complete an attribute-based assessment and other skills tests (such as simulation, coding, MS Office).

Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and maintain security strategies for endpoint protection, encryption, file integrity monitoring, application control and behavioral analytics ensuring alignment with CIBC’s risk management and compliance objectives.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain security strategies for endpoints in public cloud environments (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud), ensuring alignment with CIBC’s risk management and compliance objectives.
  • Design and deploy automated security controls and monitoring solutions to ensure efficiency, consistency, and rapid response across cloud and endpoint environments.
  • Conduct risk-based assessments for new and existing cloud and endpoint solutions, identify vulnerabilities, and recommend mitigation strategies.
  • Build, integrate, and maintain security solutions for cloud and their respective endpoint platforms.
  • Ensure all cloud and endpoint environments comply with internal security standards and regulatory requirements. Manage audits, reporting, and continuous monitoring activities.
  • Perform comprehensive security reviews of infrastructure-as-code, system designs, and technical architectures. Provide recommendations and guidance to engineering teams.
  • Collaborate with other security and IT teams to integrate cloud and endpoint security with broader security operations.
  • Support the development and delivery of training programs to promote a culture of data protection and security awareness across the organization.
  • Design and implement secure cloud and endpoint architectures that support high-velocity business growth and scalability requirements.
