The Registered Nurse is a professional nurse registered in Massachusetts who is responsible and accountable for planning and providing patient care for assigned patients in accordance with Nursing Standards of Care as set forth in the Nursing Department's Clinical Practice Manual. The registered nurse demonstrates initiative, knowledge and clinical skills in caring for the patient with complex needs. The Registered Nurse demonstrates the ability to effectively manage patients by assuming full responsibility for the assessment, plan, implementation and evaluation of patient care and is directly responsible to a designated Nursing Director, or supervisor. Assure the practice of the Patient and Family Centered Care Model in an environment that exemplifies best practice. The Triage Nurse plays a key leadership role in supporting the endoscopy center to optimize patient throughput. This position is approximately 90% triage-based—providing phone triage, in-basket messaging, and on-demand patient communication for upcoming procedures—and 10% on-site at our Endoscopy location for patient-facing or hands-on clinical support as needed. The Triage RN manages patient interactions via telephone and electronic messaging, offering clinical advice in accordance with established protocols and ensuring appropriate care coordination for pre-procedural and post-procedural concerns. Topics may include booking inquiries, preparation questions, pre-procedure medication instructions, post-discharge follow-up, and test result discussions. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong GI knowledge and experience, adaptability, and the ability to work both autonomously and as part of an interdisciplinary team. Familiarity with endoscopy scheduling, procedural workflows, and triage best practices is essential. The successful candidate will also bring flexibility and problem-solving skills to support coverage during staff absences, leaves, and vacancies—ensuring continuity of care and operational efficiency.
