About The Position
Sentara Albemarle Medical Center is hiring an Endoscopy Technician. This is a full-time position with day shift hours located in Elizabeth City, NC. The Endo Tech assists with patient care in the Endoscopy Department. They are familiar with gastrointestinal and pulmonary diseases and assist during endoscopic procedures. The role is responsible for the preparation, maintenance, and cleaning of equipment and supplies. The Endoscopy Technician functions under the direction and supervision of a licensed nurse.
Requirements
- High School Grad or Equivalent
- Basic Life Support (BLS) within 3 months of hire.
- 2 years related experience
- Patient care experience, may substitute similar training from military or vocational training program
Responsibilities
- Assists with patient care in the Endoscopy Department.
- Assists during endoscopic procedures.
- Responsible for the preparation, maintenance, and cleaning of equipment and supplies.
- Functions under the direction and supervision of a licensed nurse.
