Endoscopy Technician
About The Position
The Endoscopy Technician provides service and support before and after endoscopic procedures. This position will not be working as a scrub. Role includes reprocessing endoscopes, stocking, assisting with patient care, dressing, discharging patients and turning rooms around. Ensures the presence and proper arrangement of equipment and supplies in the endoscopy room prior to each procedure, cleans the endoscope after the procedure and expedites room turnover. Provides basic care and some diagnostic tests. Responsible for maintaining the endoscopic equipment and maintaining supply inventory.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED required
- 2 plus years hospital or healthcare experience in a clinical setting required
Nice To Haves
- Endoscopy experience preferred
- Sterile supply experience preferred
- CRCST or CST certification preferred
