Endoscopy Technician, PT Day Shift, Operating Room
About The Position
White Oak Medical Center seeks to hire an Endoscopy Technician who will embrace our mission to extend God’s care through the ministry of physical, mental and spiritual healing. As an Endoscopy Technician, you will help care for patients and are responsible for collecting patient biopsies and specimens and keeping the field sterile. You will also restock supplies and prepare the room before and after patient procedures, assist physician endoscopy patient procedures by anticipating and providing instruments and supplies, give instructions to patients as instructed by the physician, and schedule appointments for procedures and follow-ups. You will follow protocol per policy to ensure that all equipment/instruments are disinfected properly and safety measures are followed.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Active American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
Nice To Haves
- Minimum of one year of hospital GI Tech experience or one year of surgical tech experience highly preferred
- Basic Dysrhythmia preferred
- Completion of GI or Operating Room Technician courses preferred
