About The Position

The Endoscopy Technician supports the Mooresville Endoscopy Center by cleaning, disinfecting, and sterilizing endoscopy equipment and accessories; maintaining infection-control and equipment knowledge; and following center policies and procedures. The role also supports equipment maintenance, inventory and supply ordering, procedure-room setup and cleaning, documentation, and patient transportation as needed. The position requires attention to detail, organization, effective communication, collaboration, and the ability to work in a fast-paced clinical environment. The center promotes a set schedule with no required nights, weekends, or holidays. Local candidates are required.

Responsibilities

Clean, disinfect, and sterilize endoscopy equipment and accessories.
Maintain knowledge of infection-control guidelines, aseptic techniques, and best practices.
Maintain knowledge of endoscopy equipment and accessories.
Follow center policies and procedures.
Report equipment issues and malfunctions to the Director of Nursing.
Oversee maintenance of the automatic cleaning system.
Assist with inventory management and supply ordering.
Assist with procedure-room setup and cleaning.
Maintain records and documentation as directed by the center.
Assist with patient transportation as needed.
Attend seminars, training sessions, and other professional development activities.
