Endoscopy Technician - Temporary
About The Position
A facility near Philadelphia, PA is seeking an Endoscopy Technician to join their team for a temporary, 13-week contract. This is a day shift position, Monday through Friday, with 3 to 4 shifts per week and the opportunity to pick up extra shifts. The role is in an outpatient setting and offers supportive leadership and administration teams. The Endoscopy Technician assists with endoscopy procedures by preparing the procedure room, equipment, and supplies and supporting the physician during the procedure. They also prepare and monitor patients before, during, and after procedures, including assisting the RN with admitting, recovery, and the discharge process.
Requirements
- High school graduate or equivalent required
- At least one year in a GI setting
- BCLS certification required
Responsibilities
- Assists with endoscopy procedures by preparing the procedure room, equipment, and supplies.
- Supports the physician during the procedure.
- Prepares and monitors patients before, during, and after procedures.
- Assists RN with admitting, recovery, and the discharge process.
