Endoscopy Technician - Full-Time - Framingham, MA

Gastro Health is seeking a motivated, dependable Endoscopy Technician to join their newly constructed in-office endoscopy suite in Framingham, Massachusetts. Requirements
- High school diploma is required.
- At least two years’ experience in some aspect of the medical field to assure familiarity with medical terminology.
Nice To Haves
- GI experience preferred.
Responsibilities
- Prepare procedure rooms, equipment, and supplies to ensure safe and efficient endoscopic procedures.
- Assist physicians and nursing staff before, during, and after procedures while providing a safe, supportive environment for patients.
- Monitor patient needs throughout the procedure and promptly report concerns or changes to the Registered Nurse or Nurse Manager.
- Clean, disinfect, inspect, and maintain endoscopy equipment in accordance with infection prevention and safety standards.
- Operate, troubleshoot, and maintain endoscopy and patient monitoring equipment.
- Help maintain adequate inventory levels of supplies and equipment.
- Accurately complete required documentation and maintain endoscopy records.
- Recognize the limits of the Endoscopy Technician role and promptly communicate situations requiring nursing or physician intervention.
- Report safety concerns, equipment issues, and errors in accordance with established policies.
- Participate in quality improvement, infection prevention, safety, and materials management initiatives.
- Communicate effectively and collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other members of the healthcare team.
- Follow established policies, procedures, and the direction of supervisors and physicians.
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
