About The Position

The Endoscopy Technician is responsible for case preparation, assisting with patient preparation, proper handling of instruments supplies and equipment, preparation of the room based upon the specific procedure and physician's preference, and anticipating the physician's needs. This role operates in a professional medical office environment and requires the ability to stand, walk, and occasionally lift or move up to 25 pounds. The position is full-time, Monday through Friday, with no weekend work required.

Requirements

• Two (2) plus years as Surgical or Endoscopy Technician who is professional, pleasant, flexible, and a motivated team player.
• Experience in a GI or Multi specialty medical environment
• Working knowledge and proficiency in the use of Medical terminology.
• Must be authorized to work in the US for any employer

Nice To Haves

• Graduate of accredited surgical technician a plus.

Responsibilities

• Case preparation, setting up procedure rooms.
• Cleaning and routine care and maintenance of endoscopes and equipment. Proper handling of instruments.
• Assisting physicians while performing endoscopic procedures while anticipating the physicians’ need.
• Specimen Processing.
• Assist nurses in pre and post patient calls
• Performs other duties as assigned.
