Endoscopy Technician Specialist
About The Position
Park Nicollet is looking to hire an Endoscopy Technical Specialist to join our Endoscopy team! The Endoscopy Technical Specialist is responsible for performing delegated activities related to patient care and overall team support in the GI procedure room setting. Under the supervision of a physician or nurse, will assist with direct patient care during procedures and assist the physicians with necessary equipment (forceps, snares, balloons, etc) used during all procedure types. The Endoscopy Technical Specialist will be responsible for performing all essential duties of the Endoscopy Technician which may include various patient care roles and duties outside of the procedure room, such as the recovery room, supply stocking, and endoscope reprocessing room.
Requirements
- One year of healthcare experience.
- Completion of the SGNA GI Associates Program to be recognized as a GI Technical Specialist (GTS) within 1 month of hire.
- Current BLS provider status in accordance with American Heart Association (AHA) guidelines within 2 weeks of hire.
- Good verbal communication skills.
- Demonstrates knowledge of age-related growth and development principles necessary to provide appropriate service and assure safety of patients.
- Human relations skills to work as part of a team by demonstrating, but not limited to: The ability to maintain patience, Use of mature judgment, Sound reasoning skills, Courteous behavior.
Nice To Haves
- One year of experience with equipment cleaning and reprocessing or as an Endoscopy Technician.
- Graduate of an accredited Surgical Tech, Endoscopy tech, or Instrument Tech (sterile processing) program.
- EC tech
- EMT
- Scribe
- Associates degree or higher
- CMA
- LPN
- Certification as a Certified Endoscope Reprocessor (CER) through the Healthcare Sterile Processing Association (HSPA).
- Anatomy and physiology

Responsibilities
