About The Position

Assists nurses and physicians with general, advanced and interventional endoscopic procedures and related services.

Requirements

• A minimum of 1 year of progressive experience as an Endoscopy Technician I at Froedtert Health or experience performing the duties of Endoscopy Technician II at another facility is required.
• High School diploma or equivalent is required.
• Completion of a Certified Nursing Assistant, Medical Assistant, Surgical Technician or EMT education program is required.
• In lieu of education; two years experience as a GI Technician will be accepted.
• Ability to work independently and effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to prioritize, concentrate and pay close attention to details.
• American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support for the Healthcare Provider (BLS) or an AHA approved equivalent is required within 3 months of hire.
• Certified Nursing Assistant, Medical Assistant, Surgical Technician or EMT certification is required.
• In lieu of certification; two years experience as a GI Technician will be accepted.
• Completion of Society of Gastroenterology Nurses and Associates (SGNA) Associates Program is required within 6 months of hire.
• Completion of Society of Gastroenterology Nurses and Associates (SGNA) Advanced Associates Program is required within 6 months after completion of Associates Program.
