About The Position

Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital seeks an Endoscopy Technologist for their Endoscopy department responsible for cleaning and maintaining all endoscopes and other equipment necessary to perform endoscopy cases and maintaining par levels of supplies and equipment in the unit including the x-ray room. Perform as an Endoscopy Technician following Endoscopy training. Responsibilities include: They may process requisitions and shipment verification, perform Department Coordinator duties in absence of the Coordinator as directed. There is a requirement to participate in call, with the directive to be physically in the Endoscopy Department within 20 minutes.

Requirements

• Mechanical aptitude
• Ability to follow detailed written instructions
• Knowledge of basic anatomy and physiology
• Knowledge of medical terminology
• Basic endoscopy knowledge
• Ability to operate mechanical cleaning/reprocessing equipment
• Stable work history

Nice To Haves

• Completion of an endoscopic course/training
• Knowledge of Endoscopy Department equipment and supplies
• Previous endoscopy experience
