About The Position

DigestiveCare, LLC is seeking a dedicated endoscopy tech to join their esteemed team. As an endoscopy tech, you will play a vital role in upholding the company's core beliefs of value, integrity, continuity, accessibility, and community engagement. The role is responsible for rendering professional care to patients undergoing GI and PAIN management procedures within the surgical center in accordance with established procedures. The tech will function cooperatively with physicians and staff, exhibiting teamwork characteristics. They will prepare equipment and anticipate Physician and patient needs for GI procedures, provide general maintenance of the clinical area and equipment, and oversee the GI procedures while maintaining all aspects of the GI procedure area. This includes assessing patients prior to procedure, documenting intra-procedure notes, assisting the physician on all GI procedures, and preparing and maintaining equipment and supplies in the GI procedure area. The tech will also clean and maintain equipment per Center policy and assist in Preop and Recovery with turning over bays, discharging patients, basic patient assistance, and stocking.

Requirements

High school graduate or equivalent
Medical assistant certification
Current BLS required
Knowledge of policies and procedures specific to the OR and GI
Strong Customer Service Skills
Manual dexterity to handle instruments quickly
Must be conscientious, organized and able to handle the stress of a busy operating room & GI lab environment
Must be able to function as a team player
Possess the ability to lift 25 pounds
Must be able to communicate and understand the English language, both written and verbal

Nice To Haves

Certification in Operating Room Technology a plus
ACLS preferred

Responsibilities
