About The Position

Valleywise Health is hiring Endoscopy Technicians to support physicians and nurses during diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopic procedures. The role involves preparing and maintaining equipment, helping ensure patient comfort and safety, and following infection control standards. Technicians assist with instrument setup and during procedures in a fast-paced clinical environment. The team works in the Endoscopy Health Center.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Prior healthcare experience demonstrating an understanding of the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
• BLS certification. An AHA-training-center BLS card is preferred and will be required within three months.
• For ambulatory clinics, have a valid fingerprint clearance card issued by the Arizona Department of Public Safety or submit a completed affidavit at hire; complete the clearance-card application within seven days of hire and present the card within 90 days of applying.
• Ability to work with culturally diverse people.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills to support collaborative staff and community relationships.
• Critical thinking skills.
• Basic computer skills and ability to multitask.
• Detail orientation and ability to work well in a high-stress environment.
• Ability to read, write, and speak effectively in English.

Nice To Haves

• Post-high-school training in the medical field.
• Previous experience assisting with ERCP, EUS/EBUS, pulmonary, and basic GI procedures.
• ASGNA certification.
• Knowledge of medical terminology.
