About The Position

This role assists the physician in performing endoscopic and various complex interventional cases. The Endoscopy Tech II is responsible for maintaining supplies and equipment in the Endoscopy Department, ensuring they are in proper working order. This includes cleaning and disinfecting equipment according to unit and hospital policy. The position also involves providing appropriate patient care to Ambulatory Care and Endoscopy patients under the direction of a Registered Nurse. Additionally, the role includes performing clerical duties to ensure the optimal function of the department, such as assembling and maintaining patient chart material, keeping records and files, and maintaining the order and cleanliness of the workstation. Completing patient charges is also a responsibility.

Requirements

• H.S. Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) Required
• 2 years of Endoscopy Tech experience Required
• BCLS - Basic Life Support Current AHA BLS Certification Upon Hire Required

Nice To Haves

• Graduate of GI/OR Technology program Preferred
• Previous experience in Endoscopy Preferred
• GTS Certification Preferred
• AGTS Certification Preferred

Responsibilities

• Completes charges for patients.
