Requirements

Active RN Licensure in GA and graduation from an accredited nursing program.
Current BLS and ACLS certifications (or willingness to obtain within 3 months).
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and assist in moving patients up to 350 pounds.
Strong critical thinking, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
Every prospective employee of GI Specialists of Georgia is required to pass a background check and drug screening as a condition of employment.

Nice To Haves

Experience in outpatient, GI, PACU, surgical, or procedural settings preferred

Responsibilities

Perform compassionate care to patients before, during, and after procedures
Perform thorough assessments, administer medications, monitor IVs, track vital signs and assist with patient preparation.
Prep patients for procedures: educate, obtain consents, and ensure safety
Assist during endoscopic procedures (EGDs, colonoscopies, etc.)
Monitor recovery, ensure patient safety, and facilitate a smooth discharge process.
Respond swiftly and effectively in emergent situations
Maintain impeccable documentation and compliance with AAAHC, OSHA, and infection control standards
Foster a clean, safe, and well-stocked clinical environment
Mentor new team members and support a culture of excellence
