About The Position

Performs various patient care activities and related duties in the Endoscopy Center not required by a licensed professional. Completes tasks as delegated in order to assist with organizing patient flow and general unit activities as appropriate. Ensures endoscopes are clean promptly and ready for use. Inventories and ensures supplies are ordered as needed. Possesses competency in use of technology and computers. Maintains reprocessing records. Transports patients to and from the Endoscopy Center. Makes suggestions/recommendations for improved operations. Has knowledge of and utilizes unit specific equipment appropriately. Understands and appropriately responds to the unique combination of cultural variables that individuals bring to interactions. Follows hospital/department infection control policies. Processes endoscopes in accordance with established policies and procedures. Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • BLS-CPR certified
  • Experience in a GI or multi-specialty medical environment
  • Working knowledge and proficiency in the use of medical terminology.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Effective communication skills
