About The Position
Under the direct supervision of a Registered Nurse, prepares procedure rooms, manages equipment, and assists the Physician during endoscopic procedures. Assists with patient care pre and post procedure as well as assists in the maintenance of a safe and clean environment. This unit provides 24-hour coverage. Clinical Cross-campus (MMH and RGH) on-call is required Monday through Friday after 11:00 p.m (2300) weekends and holidays. Reports to the MMH Nurse Manager.
Requirements
- Minimum of a high school diploma or GED equivalent
- Basic computer skills in the use of Microsoft Windows-based WORD, EXCEL and OUTLOOK software programs
- Must be able to read and communicate effectively using the English language
- Employee must have access to reliable transportation to travel between multiple work sites; and travel is required in order to perform essential duties
Nice To Haves
- Certification in Sterile Processing or Flexible Endoscopy Reprocessing through a nationally accredited central service organization such as, CBSPD or IAHCSMM is required within two years of hire. (After January 2016)
- Annually obtain the mandatory number of Continuing Education units (CEUs)
