About The Position

The Endoscopic Technician is responsible for assisting physicians with procedures in the GI Lab. This role involves preparing equipment, assisting during procedures, and cleaning and maintaining equipment after use. The technician plays a crucial part in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of the GI Lab, contributing to high-quality patient care.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly required.
  • Detailed oriented with good organizational skills.

Nice To Haves

  • 1 Year GI clinical or hospital experience preferred.
  • CNA - Certified Nurses Aide Upon Hire preferred.
  • MA - Medical Assistant Upon Hire preferred.
  • EMT - Emergency Medical Technician Upon Hire preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Assist physicians with endoscopic procedures in the GI Lab.
  • Prepare and set up necessary equipment and supplies for procedures.
  • Clean, disinfect, and maintain endoscopic equipment according to established protocols.
  • Ensure a safe and sterile environment for patients and staff.
  • Document procedures and patient information accurately.
  • Participate in on-call rotation as required.
