About The Position

The Endoscopic Technician is responsible for assisting physicians with endoscopic procedures. This role involves preparing the endoscopy suite, ensuring all necessary equipment and supplies are available, assisting the physician during procedures, and cleaning and sterilizing equipment after use. The technician plays a crucial role in maintaining a safe and efficient environment for both patients and medical staff within the GI Lab.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
• 1 Year GI clinical or hospital experience required.
• BCLS - Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly required.

Nice To Haves

• CNA - Certified Nurses Aide Upon Hire preferred.
• MA - Medical Assistant Upon Hire preferred.
• EMT - Emergency Medical Technician Upon Hire preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist physicians with endoscopic procedures.
• Prepare the endoscopy suite with necessary equipment and supplies.
• Ensure all equipment is functioning correctly and sterilized.
• Maintain a safe and efficient environment in the GI Lab.
• Clean and sterilize endoscopic equipment after procedures.
• Participate in on-call duties as required.
