About The Position
The Endoscopic Tech (PRN) - GI Lab position at Texas Health Allen is a part-time, as-needed role primarily during the day shift. This role supports physicians and nurses in the fast-paced GI Lab environment, assisting with GI procedures and ensuring patient safety. Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- 1 Year of GI clinical or hospital experience strongly preferred
- ProVation documentation/reporting system experience preferred
- One of the following certifications preferred: CNA (Certified Nurse Aide), MA (Medical Assistant), EMT (Emergency Medical Technician)
- BCLS - Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly Req
Responsibilities
- Assists physicians and nurses with GI procedures
- Sets up endoscopic equipment including specific individualized equipment after assessment of patient.
- Assists physicians and RNs throughout procedures
- Handles instrumentation from basic to complex procedures.
- Takes actions to reduce or eliminate patient risk
