The Endoscopic Retrograde Cholangiopancreatography Technician (ERCP) works in the Endo/GI Lab at Texas Health Plano. Requirements
- High School Diploma or Equivalent required
- 1 year of GI clinical experience required
- BCLS – Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly required
- A high degree of confidentiality, positive interpersonal skills, and ability to function in a fast-paced environment
Nice To Haves
- 1 year of previous ERCP experience preferred
Responsibilities
- Collects patient data, identifies and reports significant findings to nurses
- Performs technical procedures safely and proficiently
- Take action to reduce or eliminate patient risk
- Documents accurately and appropriately
- Assists in admission/transfer/discharge
- In collaboration/consultation with nurses, adapts care to reflect age-specific and developmental considerations
- In collaboration/consultation with the nurse, incorporates cultural/ religious needs and beliefs into delivery of care
