About The Position

The Endoscopic Retrograde Cholangiopancreatography Technician (ERCP) works in the Endo/GI Lab at Texas Health Plano. This role involves working with a diverse patient population and offers the opportunity for high job satisfaction and a sense of accomplishment. Requirements

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent required
  • 1 year of GI clinical experience required
  • BCLS – Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly required
  • A high degree of confidentiality, positive interpersonal skills, and ability to function in a fast-paced environment

Nice To Haves

  • 1 year of previous ERCP experience preferred

Responsibilities

  • Collects patient data, identifies and reports significant findings to nurses
  • Performs technical procedures safely and proficiently
  • Take action to reduce or eliminate patient risk
  • Documents accurately and appropriately
  • Assists in admission/transfer/discharge
  • In collaboration/consultation with nurses, adapts care to reflect age-specific and developmental considerations
  • In collaboration/consultation with the nurse, incorporates cultural/ religious needs and beliefs into delivery of care
