This role involves maintaining a clean, orderly work area while handling various types of equipment, instruments, and supplies used during surgical procedures. The technician is responsible for cleaning, disinfecting, and sterilizing instrumentation, equipment, and supplies for the OR and other areas as needed. Key duties include keeping accurate quality control records, ensuring adequate inventory, and ordering supplies. The role also involves transporting sterile supplies and equipment, maintaining and caring for equipment, documenting maintenance and repairs, and maintaining department records. Professional growth is encouraged through educational programs, and accurate hand-off communication is essential. The position requires attending department meetings and reviewing missed minutes.
