About The Position

The physician will practice general endocrinology, with opportunities to teach and participate in clinical research. The clinic sees a wide variety of cases, supporting a well-rounded and diverse practice. Approximately 40% of the practice is diabetes care, with the remainder involving general endocrinology, including thyroid conditions.

The practice includes one advanced practice provider who rotates between Henry Ford Providence Novi and Southfield, along with one dietitian and one nurse educator at each location. Each physician is assigned a primary location and may be asked to split time to cover additional locations as needed. The physician will practice at both Henry Ford Providence Novi and Henry Ford Providence Southfield, with rounding coverage at both hospitals.

The schedule includes five days per week at assigned locations. New providers are eased into clinic and do not begin with a full schedule. The physician will work 16–18 clinic days per month, seeing 18–22 patients per day. Call is evenly distributed among the four staff physicians.

Requirements

• Must have completed an ACGME/AOA-approved Internal Medicine residency program.
• Must have completed or be currently completing an ACGME/AOA-approved Endocrinology fellowship program.

Responsibilities

• Practice general endocrinology, including diabetes and thyroid care.
• Teach and participate in clinical research.
• Provide clinical coverage at Henry Ford Providence Novi and Henry Ford Providence Southfield, including hospital rounding at both locations.
• Work at assigned locations and split time to cover additional locations as needed.
• Participate in the call rotation, shared evenly among four staff physicians.
