About The Position

Endocrinologist Endocrinology & Diabetes Hackensack University Medical Center Hackensack Meridian Health is seeking a dedicated and experienced Endocrinologist to join our dynamic team and health network. The successful candidate will be responsible for a wide range of professional activities, including direct patient care, teaching, and quality improvement initiatives.

Requirements

MD, DO Degree from a recognized medical school;
Completion of a fellowship in endocrinology in a recognized institution;
Experience in endocrinology/diabetes and/or an affiliation with an academic institution
Ability to relate effectively to all levels of the clinical and administrative structure of the medical center as well as of other institutions affiliated with the Division of Endocrinology
Board Certified Internal Medicine & Endocrinology
Ability to obtain and/or possess a New Jersey Medical License

Responsibilities

Provide continuous and comprehensive clinical care for patients with diabetes and endocrine disorders.
Support the preoperative consultative service for patients with diabetes.
Facilitate inpatient diabetes consultations for medical and surgical patients
Assume a teaching role for medical students, residents, advanced practice providers and endocrinology fellows.
Assist in developing patient care protocols, hospital-based policies and discharge planning to improve care optimization
Collaborate with diabetes care and education specialists to improve patient education and diabetes care.
Participate in the equitable 24/7/365 on-call schedule, including weeknights, weekends, holidays, and vacation coverage, in collaboration with practice physicians.
Provide seven (7) 24-hour periods of unrestricted hospital call coverage every eight (8) weeks for Emergency Department and inpatient endocrinology consultations.
