About The Position

The organization is seeking a Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Endocrinologist (MD/DO) to join its growing outpatient-focused practice in Shelton, Connecticut. This is a full-time, permanent opportunity primarily focused on managing a wide range of endocrine conditions in an outpatient setting, with minimal inpatient responsibilities. Requirements

  • MD or DO from an accredited medical school
  • Residency training in Internal Medicine required
  • Fellowship training in Endocrinology required
  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in Endocrinology
  • Eligible for Connecticut medical licensure

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate, diagnose, and manage a broad spectrum of endocrine disorders including diabetes, thyroid disease, osteoporosis, adrenal disorders, and pituitary conditions
  • Provide comprehensive outpatient care with a focus on long-term disease management and prevention
  • Collaborate with primary care physicians and specialty providers to coordinate patient care
  • Interpret diagnostic studies including hormone assays, imaging, and metabolic testing
  • Educate patients regarding lifestyle modifications, medication management, and preventive care
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation within the electronic medical record (EMR)
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and clinical best practices
