About The Position

As our Endocrinologist Physician, you will join a growing, physician-led practice at Dignity Health Medical Group - Merced, playing a pivotal role in the continued success, design, and development of our regional Endocrinology service line. You will provide expert outpatient and inpatient clinical care to adult patients, diagnosing and treating a wide variety of endocrine conditions including diabetes, thyroid diseases, adrenal and pituitary disorders, and metabolic bone diseases. You will also contribute significantly to shaping a robust care network in a highly collaborative environment. To be successful in this role, you will be a BC/BE Endocrinology physician with a passion for delivering high-quality, compassionate care to a diverse community, strong clinical and diagnostic skills, and a commitment to building a premier service line within a supportive, mission-driven environment. Requirements

  • MD or DO degree with Board Certification or Eligibility in Endocrinology
  • California Medical License (or ability to obtain) and DEA Certification
  • Experience or interest in designing and developing a new endocrinology service line
  • Demonstrated interest in chronic disease management and preventive care
  • Excellent communication skills and commitment to team-based, patient-centered care
  • Ability to work independently and contribute to the establishment of a new endocrinology practice

Responsibilities

  • Deliver comprehensive clinical management for a wide variety of complex endocrine conditions, including diabetes (Types 1, 2, and gestational), thyroid diseases, and adrenal and pituitary disorders.
  • Perform diagnostic procedures such as thyroid ultrasounds and biopsies, and accurately interpret imaging studies to assess and diagnose endocrine disorders.
  • Partner and collaborate cross-functionally with a dedicated network of local family medicine, internal medicine, cardiology, and nephrology providers to manage complex, co-morbid patient cases.
  • Educate patients on managing chronic endocrine conditions independently, focusing heavily on modern lifestyle modifications, preventive care, and medication adherence.
