The Oregon National Primate Center (ONPRC) is seeking an Endocrine Technologies Core Director (Sr Staff Scientist) to oversee all operations of the ONPRC Endocrine Technologies Core (ETC). This role involves managing core staff, preparing and serving as PI on NIH S10 shared instrumentation grants, staying current with endocrine assay technologies, and acting as the primary liaison with internal and external core clients. The Director will also schedule oversight committee meetings, manage annual operating budgets in collaboration with the business office, set service prices, and recommend equipment acquisitions. Additionally, the role includes presenting new technology developments at meetings and in publications, contributing to the P51 core grant renewal, and writing the ETC section of the annual progress report. The position is located 12 miles west of the OHSU main campus on a 162-acre property with research buildings, animal housing, and walking paths. The ONPRC's mission is to improve human health by advancing knowledge of debilitating diseases through nonhuman primate research.
