We have an immediate opening for an Endocrine Lab Tech (Temp) to join our team at Shady Grove Fertility in Rockville, Maryland. This role provides the opportunity to grow within a nationally respected organization while remaining closely connected to the patients and teams you support every day.
Requirements
- Minimum of one year laboratory experience
- Bachelors' degree in biology, chemistry, or science related field; MLT ASCP certification or equivalent
- Ability to troubleshoot assays and equipment
Nice To Haves
- Experience in a chemistry analyzer strongly preferred
Responsibilities
- Perform quality controls, calibration and instrument preventive maintenance checks at the required frequency and documents such actions
- Check and record daily temperature of refrigerators to ensure proper storage of media reagents
- Monitor supply of reagents and other material to ensure adequate supply at all times and orders supplies when necessary
- Take appropriate safety precautions for handling specimen and contaminated areas
- Perform all clerical tasks associated with recording laboratory results in designated areas and filing
- Provide a turnaround time to the physicians approximate two hour request from the time specimens are received
- Reliability: It is an essential function of this position to report to work on time for your scheduled hours, ready for work
