About The Position

The End Weld Operator assists with changeovers, set up, and splicing on the tube mill. This role involves operating a complex machine that welds the edges of two metal coils together. The operator is responsible for maintaining tools and equipment, monitoring the accumulator, performing required maintenance, and communicating any issues along the mill line. Basic housekeeping in the general work area is also expected, along with completing any assignments given by the Supervisor.

Requirements

High School Diploma, OR Equivalency Certificate, (GED, etc.)
One to three months equivalent experience in related field OR, Proof of training in an area related to the job assignment
Reasonable knowledge in hand-held measuring devices, micrometers, measuring tapes, go/no-go gauges, grinding, operation of thickness gauges and depth gauges
Moderate to Advanced PC Skills in Microsoft Applications, i.e., MS Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint
Able to read, write, speak, and understand English sufficiently to follow job and safety requirements.

Responsibilities

Responsible for completing any assignments given by Supervisor, even those assignments not specifically listed in this job description.
