About The Position

The End User Computing Analyst will be responsible for deploying operating system and third-party application patches to end-user devices. This role involves monitoring patch compliance, identifying and remediating non-compliant devices, and coordinating patch deployment windows with minimal disruption. The analyst will maintain patch deployment records, update ITSM tickets, and perform health checks on endpoints. Additionally, they will assist in patch testing, adhere to patch management SOPs and change management guidelines, and support vulnerability scan tool outputs. Prompt escalation of deployment failures or critical issues to L2 support is also a key responsibility.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in IT Infrastructure or End User Computing.
  • Basic knowledge of Windows OS (Windows 10/11) patch lifecycle and update mechanisms.
  • Familiarity with SCCM/MECM, Microsoft Intune, or WSUS for endpoint patch deployment.
  • Exposure to ITSM platforms – ServiceNow, Remedy, or equivalent.
  • Understanding of Active Directory and Group Policy basics.
  • Basic scripting exposure (PowerShell or Batch) for patch status queries.
  • Awareness of vulnerability scanning tools (Qualys, Nessus, Tenable).
  • Ability to read compliance and deployment reports from patch management dashboards.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to follow documented SOPs and checklists accurately.
  • Time management – capable of handling multiple patch deployment tasks concurrently.
  • Basic analytical skills to identify and report patch deployment anomalies.
  • Willingness to work in shifts / on-call rotations.

Nice To Haves

  • Microsoft 365 Certified: Modern Desktop Administrator Associate (MD-100/MD-101).
  • CompTIA A+ or CompTIA IT Fundamentals (ITF+).
  • ITIL 4 Foundation.

Responsibilities

  • Deploy OS (Windows 10/11) and third-party application patches to end-user devices via SCCM / Microsoft Intune / WSUS as per the approved patch schedule.
  • Monitor patch compliance dashboards and generate daily/weekly compliance reports.
  • Identify non-compliant devices and initiate remediation actions or escalate to L2.
  • Coordinate with end-users and helpdesk to schedule patch windows with minimal disruption.
  • Maintain patch deployment records and update ITSM tickets (ServiceNow / Jira) accurately.
  • Perform pre-patch and post-patch health checks on targeted endpoints.
  • Assist in testing patches in a non-production environment before wide deployment.
  • Follow the patch management SOP, CAB process, and change management guidelines.
  • Support vulnerability scan tool outputs (Qualys / Tenable) and cross-reference with missing patches.
  • Escalate failed deployments, critical patch failures, or zero-day situations to L2 promptly.
