About The Position

The Enclosure Weld Support will use hand, pneumatic, and power tools to clean, polish, and grind metal components per specifications in conjunction with customer quality requirements and United Alloy manufacturing philosophies. Training will be administered by the Enclosure Weld Lead. This is an onsite position in Seguin, Texas, with no travel requirements. The hiring process includes a drug screen and physical.

Requirements

Exposure to metal fabrication concepts and processes.
Must pass a UAI AWS D1.1 welding test.
Keen sense of attention to detail.
Ability to operate overhead cranes, tape measure, calipers, basic hand tools, and air tools.
Ability to determine material types and gauges.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
Ability to regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move 100 pounds with an assist.

Responsibilities

Read and interpret tags to efficiently maintain traceability of components.
Operate equipment for which they have been formally trained.
Follow all United Alloy safety regulations and policies during the use of grinders, sanders, and stud guns.
Clean materials using a DA sander, grinder, and/or hand tools.
Move materials from the welding area to the paint department utilizing a pallet and pallet jack.
Other duties as assigned.
