About The Position

Building Enclosure Consulting is a specialized profession that involves the application of scientific principles and practical know-how to develop the right building enclosure solutions. These skills provide our clients with buildings that function reliably by preventing unwanted water intrusion, condensation, energy loss, air leakage, and physical deterioration.

Requirements

  • Bachelors’ degree and/or technical diploma in engineering, architecture, construction management, or related discipline, or equivalent of industry experience.
  • 0-2 years years of experience in design and/or construction related work.
  • Excellent communicator, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to work at heights and travel to job sites (must have reliable transportation).
  • Knowledge of building codes.
  • Ability to build relationships and collaborate within a Team, internally and externally.
  • Strong project management including project budgets and scheduling.
  • Experience in evaluating drawings, specifications, and other technical products and material data.
  • Understanding of key building enclosure technical issues and issues related to material durability and material compatibility.
  • Knowledge of ASTM and AAMA standard test methods.
  • Knowledge of construction assemblies for a variety of construction systems.
  • Professional demeanor.

  • Attention to detail and commitment to meeting deadlines.
  • Manages own time and exercises rational judgement.
  • Work independently under general supervision of senior Team Members to deliver successful projects.

  • Trimble SketchUp, Bluebeam, Revit, AutoCAD a plus.
  • Good presentation skills and experience a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Assist senior team members with building enclosure consulting projects for a variety of building types.
  • Perform field investigations and document existing building conditions.
  • Conduct construction observations of building enclosure systems during installation.
  • Prepare field observation reports and photographic documentation.
  • Assist with building enclosure testing and quality assurance activities.
  • Review architectural drawings, specifications, shop drawings, and product submittals under supervision.
  • Support the evaluation of existing buildings to identify enclosure deficiencies and repair needs.
  • Assist with preparing technical reports, repair recommendations, and project documentation.
  • Participate in design phase, pre-construction, pre-installation, and project meetings.
  • Learn and apply applicable building codes, industry standards, and best practices.
  • Collaborate with team members to deliver successful projects and exceptional client service.
  • Periodically travel outside of the Denver metro area for project assignments.
