About The Position
A study of traditional and current issues in the theory of criticism and literary history. The theoretical approaches to be examined normally include historicism, formalism, structuralism, psychoanalytical criticism, feminism, deconstruction, post-colonialism, Marxism and cultural studies.
Requirements
- MA in English.
- Teaching experience at the university-level.
- Ability to prove legal right to work in Canada.
Nice To Haves
- PhD preferred.
- Research expertise (dissertation, publications and/or conference presentations) in English is an asset.
Responsibilities
- Teach EN301: Literary Theory course.
- Conduct a study of traditional and current issues in the theory of criticism and literary history.
- Examine theoretical approaches including historicism, formalism, structuralism, psychoanalytical criticism, feminism, deconstruction, post-colonialism, Marxism and cultural studies.

- Salary: $9913.75 subject to CA Article 25
