About The Position

This is a full-time position working on REMSA Health's inter-facility transfer unit and 911 system. Candidates must be able to work any shift (days, nights, weekends, and holidays). The schedule consists of 4-day, 10-hour shifts. Scholarship opportunities are available after four months to be trained as an Advanced EMT, and eligible applicants can apply for REMSA Health Paramedic scholarships after one year of employment. The role is located in the Reno/Lake Tahoe Area, offering year-round outdoor recreation, community events, and a diverse nightlife, with no state income tax. Relocation assistance is offered for experienced EMTs.

Requirements

  • Current Nationally Registered EMT
  • Ability to obtain State of Nevada certification upon accepting an offer.
  • Current American Heart Association BLS/CPR certification required.
  • Valid Driver’s license, with no major citations on your driving record.
  • Ability to obtain a Nevada Ambulance Attendant license upon hire.
  • Excellent communication (written and verbal) skills.
  • Maintains a positive working attitude.
  • Self-starter requiring little oversight.
  • Adaptable to change and able to function in a team-based management structure.
