About The Position

This is a part-time EMT position. Applicants must be at least 18 years of age and possess a high school diploma or equivalent. Required certifications include a State of Michigan EMT license, CPR certification, and PHTLS or ITLS certification (PHTLS can be provided upon hire). A valid driver's license and acceptable driving record are necessary. The role requires the physical capability to meet job demands, such as lifting and moving patients and carrying medical equipment. Candidates must also pass a company-sponsored background check, drug screen, and physical examination. The ability to work professionally and cooperatively with a diverse range of people is essential.

Requirements

• At least 18 years of age
• High school diploma or equivalent
• State of Michigan EMT license
• CPR certified
• PHTLS or ITLS certified (PHTLS can be provided upon hire)
• Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record
• Physically capable of meeting job requirements: lifting and moving patients, carrying medical equipment

Responsibilities

• Maintain high clinical standards in all aspects of care.
• Safely drive and operate ambulances.
• Provide basic life support, including CPR, airway, suction, oxygen application, bleeding control, splinting, bandaging, etc.
• Provide convalescent care, including transporting sick, injured, and convalescent patients to and from medical facilities.
• Proficiently and safely perform patient handling, including stretcher operations, lifting, and loading.
• Treat patients with compassion and respect.
• Interact professionally and courteously with patients, family members, facility staff, and co-workers.
