About The Position

Superior Ambulance Service is hiring EMTs at multiple locations. EMTs provide safe transportation and quality medical care to sick and injured individuals within the scope of state EMS regulations. The role supports emergency and scheduled medical transports and requires appropriate patient care while safely transporting patients.

Requirements

• Hold NREMT certification or a current state license, or have a license pending.
• Ability to provide medical care at the EMT or Paramedic level while safely transporting patients.
• Valid driver’s license and satisfactory driving record.
• Ability to safely operate a vehicle in varied conditions, including daytime, nighttime, and inclement weather.
• Pass a pre-employment interview, physical and lifting examination, drug screen, and background check.
• Attend company-provided training and driving course.

Responsibilities

• Provide appropriate patient care as stipulated by EMT training.
• Provide safe, expedient transportation by accurately reading maps and identifying street names, house numbers, and business addresses.
• Assess patients appropriately and accurately convey their condition to other medical professionals.
• Write accurate reports describing a patient’s condition, medical history, and treatment provided.
• Provide appropriate documentation for billing information.
• Maintain the vehicle in sanitary condition and monitor fluid levels and gauges.
