Emergency Medical Technicians (EMT) are medical professionals who provide emergency life-saving services to patients who have suffered from accidents like vehicle crashes, burns, street accidents, drug overdose, attempted suicides, gunshot wounds, or heart attacks and/or strokes or childbirth, and to transport them to medical facilities. At the emergency scene, EMTs immediately look after the patient’s condition. They obtain patient’s medical history and evaluate his present condition. Upon identifying the patient’s condition, they give proper emergency medical service adhering to proper rules, regulations and protocols and transport the patient to the medical facility.
