About The Position
The Westfield Area YMCA is looking for a caring and compassionate individual to work as an EMT in our summer camp program with children between the ages of 3-15 years old. At the YMCA, we know that lasting personal and social change comes about when we all work together. That’s why strengthening community is our cause! Requirements
- Must be a certified EMT or licensed RN/LPN
- Must have a driver's license and own transportation
- Must be a minimum of age 18
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Enjoys working with children
Responsibilities
- Responds to all emergencies that arise within camp and signs off on incident reports
- Responsible for maintaining camp first aid supplies and kits
- Assists in preparing allergy list for campers and reviewing proper medical procedures and prevention
- Assists with labeling and tracking of all medications for each camper
- Monitors and reviews the medical log books for each camp site
