About The Position

Do you love working with kids? Are you ready for a summer full of fun, laughter, and adventure? Camp Curiosity is looking for energetic, team-oriented Camp Counselors to join our 2026 summer camp team! As a Camp Counselor, you’ll be part of a team that inspires confidence, friendship, and creativity every day. If you love working with children and want a rewarding, high-energy summer job, we want to hear from you! Summer Camp 2026 Season: June 15, 2026 - August 14, 2026 (9 weeks) Hours: Monday - Friday 7:45am - 5:15pm (Shifts assigned upon hire)

Requirements

  • Ability to attend staff training (evenings week of June 8th).
  • Ability to work at least 7 out of 9 camp weeks.
  • Must be at least 18 yrs old.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Ability to work independently and with a team.
  • Strong planning, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Must be able to obtain Background Clearances, FBI fingerprinting, Child Abuse Clearances, and Mandated Reporter Training (will change with regulations).

Responsibilities

  • Supervise children ages 2 to 13 in age-based groups, ensuring appropriate staff-to-child ratios are maintained.
  • Guide your assigned group between activities according to the groups weekly schedule.
  • Organize and lead a variety of small and large group activities each week.
  • Engage campers and maintain a positive, fun environment.
  • Actively participate in all camp activities, including swimming and special events/guests.
  • Support campers with positive behavior guidance and communicate any concerns to leadership.
  • Share camp highlights and camper experiences with parents.
  • Keep camp areas safe, clean, and organized.
  • Know and follow all emergency procedures and safety guidelines.
  • Mentor Junior Camp Counselors.
  • Be flexible and jump in wherever needed.
