Requirements
- 19 years old
- High school diploma, GED, homeschool equivalent, or dual-enrolled high school senior
- Valid Michigan driver's license
- Clean driving record
- Three years of driving experience
- Ability to pass a drug screen and criminal background check
- Proof of required vaccinations
- Willingness to remain calm under pressure
- Willingness to show empathy in emotionally intense situations
- Commitment to completing the full training and licensing process
Responsibilities
- Learn the fundamentals of emergency care.
- Develop practical skills in emergency medical response.
- Gain confidence through classroom instruction and ride-along experiences.
- Prepare for and pass the EMT certification exam.
- Transition into a full-time EMT role working with a seasoned partner.
