The EMT (Emergency Medical Technician) supports the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Civil Aerospace Medical Institute (CAMI) Aerospace Medical Research Division, Cabin Safety Research Division (AAM-632). Plays a significant role in providing EMT support for a simulated Evacuation Study. The study will consist of a series of on-site experimental sessions in which one or two participants at a time will act like airplane passengers and be required to simulate the evacuation of a disabled passenger from a seat in the flexible aircraft cabin simulator (FlexSim) to a floor level exit door. The EMT acts as a medical monitor for subject care, assesses the patient's condition, and provides necessary medical treatment. This position is On-Call with day-shift hours.
