About The Position

This position is located in Redding, CT, within Meadow Ridge, a premier life care retirement community in Fairfield County. Meadow Ridge is situated on 136 acres and offers Independent and Assisted Living apartment homes, as well as a skilled Health Center, aiming to make residents feel at home. The role is for a certified EMT to join the team in a unique EMT/Security capacity. Responsibilities include promoting a safe environment for residents, families, and staff by patrolling community buildings and conducting safety and security inspections of all community properties, including common areas, parking lots, and the perimeter. Requirements

CT EMT Certification is a requirement for consideration.
Availability to fill Full-time (4 day) - Shift - 6:30 am – 2:30 pm Friday – Monday.
Availability to fill Part-Time Fri & Sat 10:30pm -6:30am.
Availability for Per Diem opportunities.

Responsibilities

Patrols community property to prevent and discover activity in violation of criminal, fire, or safety codes.
Provides Emergency Medical rapid response care.
Watches for and reports irregularities such as fire hazards, leaking water pipes and security doors left unsecured.
Investigates and reports all acts of unlawful or safety hazards that would endanger persons or property.
Investigates all incidents and suspicious occurrences, filing incident report appropriately.
Secures and unlocks areas and buildings in accordance with policy and community expectation.
Other duties as assigned.
