About The Position

The EMT Security Officer position responds to all medical emergencies and provides emergency care to guests or Team Members until a physician or other qualified person assumes responsibility for the continuation of care. The position will also perform all Security Officer duties. The position performs responsibilities in accordance with all Company standards, policies and procedures.

Requirements

Ability to communicate effectively with Guests, Team Members and Management in both written and verbal form.
High School Diploma or equivalent.
Be at least 21 years of age.
Possess and maintain a valid Driver's License.
Possess and maintain a California State EMT certification.
Be able to obtain a Basic Life Support Certification once hired (Company will provide the training).
Be able to complete Graton Resort & Casino's Security Academy once hired.
Be able to complete the Guest Intoxication Awareness training yearly.

Responsibilities

Redefine hospitality at Graton Resort & Casino while living, supporting, and promoting our values.
Perform responsibilities in accordance with all Company standards, policies, and procedures.
Patrol and observe all public areas, Team Member service areas, and company grounds for the safety of Guests and Team Members.
Respond to all disturbances. Be aware of your surroundings and prepared to become involved in a physical confrontation if necessary.
Observe, report, and respond to all suspicious and unusual situations in accordance with department and company policy.
Know and enforce all applicable laws, policies, and procedures.
Detect and address actions and hazards that may result in liability for the company.
Respond to and assist in all emergencies, including but not limited to fires, medical emergencies, and criminal activity, utilizing EMT skills and training.
Have thorough knowledge and perform all evacuation procedures for the property.
Transport and protect company funds and assets.
Conduct follow-up investigations on reports as directed.
Complete incident reports as directed by Security Management.
Assist in the lost and found process including receiving, logging, storing, and returning lost items.
Facilitate and assist the Guests with the Self-Restriction process as requested.
Assume Dispatch role, assigning Security personnel on shift to designated tasks, ensure communication flows, and log information.
Maintain a daily log of activities and incidents involving Security.
Maintain a high level of personal integrity.
Maintain confidentiality of all information related to company and security operations.
Practice teamwork, support fellow Team Members, and create an energized and positive work atmosphere.
Maintain grooming and uniform standards.
Inspect and maintain all company issued equipment.
Have knowledge of SDS booklet location for your assigned area and familiarization.
Other job-related duties as assigned by management.
May assume the role of Bike Security Officer on foot or in a company vehicle.
Organize their work area, including, but not limited to, the Security Dispatch Office, Security Podium, the Security Administration Office, and Security vehicles, keeping those work areas clean.
Perform administrative tasks as assigned by management, including, but not limited to: Reconciliation of lost and found items after their retention period, Assignment, reassignment, and clearing of Team Member lockers, Stocking/checking inventory to Security workspaces and Medical Bags.
